2.1  From Abstraction to Form

«From Abstraction to Form» is the title of a painting project that I did in cooperation with the HKB (September 2010).

It shows the process that I went through, finding my own way to form and the freedom that it gave me to paint on black backgrounds.

I have always thought I could not paint, when I was asked to paint I felt a big resistance because my childhood paintings were never good enough in the eye of my teachers back then. They could never depict what I then wanted to communicate and I did not know why this was. When my teacher at the HKB asked me to take drawing lessons I said only on the one condition that I don't have to present my work. My feeling towards drawing has dramatically changed in the last few months and I would like to show you the process I went through. I also hope to inspire teachers with my writing to help the work with people with disability in an artistic way.
