2.2.3  The Garden of Flowers

The Piece is made on a blue tracing paper which is transparent. When you look at the painting we see red, green, pink and white colors. The red dots give a feeling of a rose. There are real flowers and pebble stones stuck to the paper which make the painting seem wounded. The real flower leads the viewer to believe it is a garden. When the light shines through it looks like it be a little garden pond but that is always so in abstract painting, you can look at it in different ways and are never wrong.
Pic 2.34: "The Garden of Flowers"

In this piece real flowers are used, they help to read the piece as a flower bed. From a far you can not see the flowers, only a white color is visible but when up close the flowers give off a very powerful feel, especially when white paint is used joining the white leaf on the flower and the paint in one piece, as if the two are actually one. The piece from a far actually looks like a bouquet or perhaps a flower bed and when the light shines through the glass it almost looks like a pond with water lilly's, sometimes it feels like the painting looks almost like it had been sewn. In the middle we can see what looks like the main bud of a rose, the actual flowers that are present look wounded and give off a feeling of irritation. In abstract painting there are many possibilities to view a picture, I invite you to give your point of view. The method used to make the piece was set using an uncontrolled method. I threw a ball covered in paint making the transition from the hand to paper, giving time in between the action where i had no control over what was happening. It gave the piece its own life and energy. I discovered that abstract painting makes it possible to find new forms that are not controlled by my mind, I find that a very beautiful end result. It makes me appreciate abstract painting, it opens up new doors in my mind that were closed before.

The Picture measures 73cm by 52cm.
